Philip Rivers is a douchebasket, just about everyone’s had enough of Belichick and Brady (and Boston fans), and I’m a Chicago Bears fan to boot (so no Fa–, I won’t even type it). This leaves me to rooting to for the Giants to win the Super Bowl? I live with three Giants fans, so next weekend we will all root together in hopes that Brett Favre gets injured to the point where he can no longer play professional football anymore but can actively do things like in those Wrangler ads the Giants get to the Super Bowl.
–UPSET–Oregon 71, No. 23 Stanford 66. Gooood stuff from Oregon on Sunday. Unfortunately, I was only left to the highlights, but those edited clips really showed me something! The Ducks appear to be a Top 25 team again and they will supplant the mandatory 20-ish spot that Stanford just presided over.
–No. 9 Duke 87, Virginia 65. Looks like Dickie V will be back soon, and with the Ks continuing to win, well that means The Duke Machine is getting closer to moving along without a squeak.
–No. 10 Indiana 62, Illinois 58. Kudos to IU for getting a home win in a game they didn’t even realize they were playing in until about 10 minutes remained in the second half. All told, the Hoosiers may be a better team because of the win, but I smell bad loss for Indiana in the near future.
–No. 22 Rhode Island 80, Duquesne 78. An up-and-coming A-10 team that loses to Flavor of the Month Dayton and manages only a two point victory against an unlikely Tournament team at home? All spells a suspension from the Top 25 this week for the Rams. I still love you though, Rhode Island!
Notable:
West Virginia 81, Syracuse 61. Certainly thought that this one would be a lot closer than it turned out to be. The ‘Eers (and specifically Alex Ruoff) really took it to ‘Cuse from all over the floor on Sunday. Ruoff nailed seven treys and some were from NBA territory. Syracuse falls to 12-5 overall; West Virginia 12-4.
Arkansas 71, Alabama 67 (OT). You see the Hogs as a 13-3 team now, but when they fail to defeat any true quality opponents (oh sure, they may get one or two real nice wins at home) and fall in the first round of The Tournament, don’t say I didn’t warn ya.

In a weird way I want Dickie to return. What has become of me?
