Good ol’ Quin—he may have been breaking some NCAA bi-laws, but his players weren’t going all country music video on people. Now, it’s Mike Anderson’s (right) team and he’s going to have to sit five of his players for the next couple of games.
Yes, Missouri is going to be having some scoring problems.
It all stems from Sunday night, when starting guard Stefhon Hannah received a broken jaw in the fracas at a club called “Athena” (ironically represented as the Goddess of Wisdom) and originally was in serious condition. Fortunately, Hannah is now listed as “good”.
Anderson implemented what he called a “zero-tolerance” policy after junior forward DeMarre Carroll — his nephew — was shot in the ankle outside another Columbia nightclub over the summer. Police said Carroll was a bystander trying to break up a fight.
Along with the injuries suffered by Hannah and Carroll, three other Tiger players have been involved in off-court violence or misconduct since Anderson was hired less than two years ago.
If you rule out the head, heart and knee, I don’t think there’s any worse place to be shot than the fucking ankle. Sounds like things are kind of getting loosey goosey down in Columbia. Of course I don’t pin this all on Anderson, but it’s certainly going to put a bit of pressure on him to really reign the team in.Â
For the record, the five players suspended—that includes the injured Hannah—are: Marshall Brown, Darryl Butterfield, Jason Horton and Leo Lyons. Those five are responsible for about 26 points, 11 rebounds and 69 minutes per game.
I guess I missed that curly-haired Dookie more than I thought.

I flippin’ love Quin Snyder! Sexiest coach ever -behind Jim Boeheim obviously. All the allegations regarding his staff paying his players were dismissed by the NCAA after an investigation. For like, 6 straight years Mizzou was in the post season (granted there’s an NIT in there, but come on) AND they consistently beat Kansas, (what Big 12 school doesn’t love that?). That Mizzou AD (no idea what his name is) was a douche bag… give the lovely Quin a chance!
I knew I’d hear from you on this one. Perhaps I’ll put up an uncalled for picture of Quin during the doldrums of the offseason.
