I really implore you to catch the UConn-Syracuse tilt tonight. The teams appear to be on an upswing and—this is ridiculous—both Jims are tied with 766 career wins! It all comes to a head tonight, when they coach against each other in a scenario that will probably never be duplicated by any other two coaches. The comparison graphic for television has already been made up in the ESPN production truck, I’m sure.
Plus, you throw in the fact that three of the past nine titles in the sport have been won by these two schools and you’ve got quite a damn good “under card” to the blue schools later on.
It’s no Tobacco Road—and most ‘Cuse fans accept Georgetown as their rival (UConn is just a wannabe)—but this is still a pretty exciting and meaningful game tonight.
7 p.m. on The Juggernaut. ‘Cuse fans clap from the start of each half until someone wearing orange scores a field goal. That means it’s OK to root for some offensive ineptitude from the luxury of your recliner at the expense of those who can actually attend the game.

i feel like you were speaking directly to me in this blog…I shall watch my huskies! I shall! Especially because I want them to win against the cuse…those orange blobs…
true blue all the way…and i think that’s so coincidental that both coaches have the same name and are tied for wins…what are the odds?
What exactly is Boeheim doing in that picture?
Telling a ref to jerk him off is my first guess.
Hahaha! great picture!!
GOOOOOOOO Huskies!!!! I knew we couldn’t be ruled out yet. Where UConn is concerned, my guys can ALWAYS be counted on!
Take THAT, Syracuse!! I knew wearing my UConn shirt today would do it.
Yes, your donning the garb made it happen.
No, I’m serious, I actually believe that the collective karmatic efforts from fanbases creates a synergy in this universe that can have an intangible effect on a team.
It’s one of my Sports Crazy Laws.
