The only reason I can think of is the fact that it is the Mizzou Valley, and it's been a two-bid minimum league for a long time. But when I look at ISU, then look at UNLV or New Mexico, the latter two just seem like BETTER teams. I know the MWC isn't in its finest form this year, but I've seen both of these teams play (even Vegas' beatdown at the hands of L'Ville) and I think they're both Tournament worthy. Of course this field is weak, but Vegas and UNM have been playing well down the stretch, so they deserve some credit there. I don’t know why Illinois State is so highly regarded. I do not get how UNLV and New Mexico are so solidly in according to so many people. Most seem to agree that when (if) they play each other in the MWC semis, the winner is in and the loser is out. Why? Neither has beaten anyone of consequence outside the conference (except Minnesota and Colorado).
