The Buckeyes hung close, but Michigan State is the better team, and they get the job done in this spot. The Spartans won 67-60, locking them up for no worse than a 5 seed.
The Hokies handled Miami (still in The Tournament, don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise), beating the Hurricanes, 63-49. I’d say that’s a little eye-opening, but I would still put Ohio State in over Virginia Tech. It’ll start to get more interesting if the Hokies can beat North Carolina tomorrow.
Other random action: Tenessee escapes South Carolina (and keeps 1 seed hopes alive) thanks to a late Chris Lofton 3 to move them into the semis; Wisconsin handles Michigan; Texas wins a textbook game over Okie State.
