Lunardi Nailed It
I don’t read Lunardi’s stuff… this is why. Dude got every single team right. How does that make picking the field fun? Next year, all of you should avoid this man at all costs. And while it’s nearly impossible to nail all of the seedings, he correctly predicted this year’s NCAA Tournament.
Here are his picks as of 5:45 p.m. on Selection Sunday.

Just ridiculous. His last four out: Va. Tech (so does that mean Georgia bumped them?), Illinois State, Arizona State, Ohio State.

He did it by cheating. Basically, he nails it at 5:45 the same way the networks call elections when the polls close.
At about 5:40, somehow Villanova went from about 4th team out to last team in. Rece Davis called him on it. And he said something like “the St. Joe’s win is more impressive now” (Nova lost by 22). ESPN must get the bracket for typesetting or something and he makes the last little switches. He did the same thing with Arkansas out of nowhere last year.

Really?? That’s lame and fraudulent. Thanks for the tip … because I honestly had no idea.
So who was in before he switched ‘Nova?

Not sure. I caught Nova because I’m a Big East fan and because Davis called him out.
I asked the guy at bracketproject if he could pinpoint when Nova moved on Lunardi’s bracket. Best he could do was say it happened between 1am Sunday, Nova was 3rd out, and 3pm, when they were 2nd to last in. (Georgia bumped them down one more).
So, he’s not seeing the actual bracket at 5:45. But it seems pretty likely he got some inside info on Sunday that caused him to bump them 4 spots when nothing happened. Again, he had the same last minute inexplicable epiphany about Arkansas last year.

I’ll be sure to keep track of this next year, for sure. Welcome to the site, lozo.
