Four 1-seeds is boring? Anything but, dude!
I could understand the argument if this Final Four had your casually placed batch of two 1-seeds, a 2 and and even a 3 thrown in there. But this one is different. This one gives us the four best teams throughout the season. We should be thankful.
When you think about it, this unprecedented happenstance should occur more frequently. The talent in college ball is pretty widespread, but the teams at the top usually prove themselves to be legitimate throughout the course of any given year. We finally are rewarded with a Final Four that played out the way the brackets have always said it should.
And the guys who didn’t have the guts to take any chances in their bracket (read: one of my brothers), they get to brag and drive you up a wall the rest of the week. (Dammit, Xavier.)
As great as it would have been to see Davidson in San Antonio, could you really see that team beating UNC? Remember, George Mason was drilled by Florida in ’06. We all love the Mason story, but it ended ugly.
So this year we’re going to feel like we’ve seen a true champion—someone who will have had to beat two of the best teams in the country to earn their badge. I think that’s pretty damn appropriate.

its really hard for me to read this and know that deep down inside you hate the fact that there are 4 number ones in the tourney…especially since kansas didn’t beat davidson…davidson lost to kansas.
but regardless a nice match between UNC and Kansas should be nice…Roy has to beat his old team think any good storylines will come from that.
UNC-Kansas storylines? Where?
Duck, because they’ll be falling like frogs from the sky.
And I really believe what I wrote. Four 1s is a refreshing change.
