Kansas Will Not Attempt to be Another Florida

Jayhawks junior Brandon Rush and sophomore Darrell Arthur are trying themselves that ever-present verb at this time of year — foregoing — and making The Leap. So no aspirations of back-to-back titles a la Noah and Co. in ‘06 and ‘07.

Chalmers still hasn’t made up his mind … boy, it’d be nice to see him back, and he’d be the BMOC for the entire year. That’d be nice.

Just so you know, I don’t think either of these guys are ready. Arthur averaged 12.8 points, 6.3 boards and 1.3 blocks/game. Eh … I think he needs another year. In his heart, Rush might feel like his stock can only go down, so I can see why he’s doing it.

It should also be noted that Arthur doesn’t immediately plan on signing with an agent, so he could still return. Rush, however, is declaring for the second time, nullifying any shot of him returning to college.
