We’re not even to Thanksgiving and the Blue Devils appear to be overrated.
The Rhode Island Rams took No. 8 Duke to the wire, losing 82-79 in Cameron Indoor a few minutes ago.
Duke has now won 62 consecutive non-conference games at home, dating back to when they fell to St. John’s in 2000.
Too much of a knee-jerk reaction here? I don’t know. It appears, more and more, that Coach K has been winning more with scheme and terrific jump shooters than true basketball players and premier recruits for the past five years. And the winning hasn’t been as prominent when it counts. Duke is now 3-0 with its previous two wins against Presbyterian and Georgia Southern. As for Rhode Island: CHJ has been a believer of this time since the beginning of last season. They looked good, played well amid the lessening pressure of Cameron (that place doesn’t get truly amped up until conference season) and pick its shots well. Rhode Island should be in the March mix all season long.

I agree man the Blue Devils are dying out, betcha they go one or two and done in March. Talk about a once historic team in desperate need of a facelift.
