Some harrowing news out of Kentucky, where Seth Coy, who played center for the Bucs last season, hydroplaned and was killed in a single-car accident yesterday.
Coy was driving back home to Indiana and after his car flipped on the wet road, was thrown from the vehicle because he wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Head coach Murry Bartow was reached for comment. Via ETSU’s site:
“For those of us who worked with Seth on a day-to-day basis as part of the men’s basketball program here at ETSU, this is devastating news. He was such a great young man with a pleasant personality, a wonderful sense of humor, and a really bright future. He was so well-liked within our team, and it was obvious by the reaction during games last year that he was a fan favorite as well. This is just unbelievably heartbreaking.”
Just terrible. Thoughts and prayers with all those involved. Please, people: wear your seat belt.
