For fun, I screengrab his first picks of the season for the recreational purpose of seeing how much can change from love-at-first-pick four months prior.
Funnily enough (and Lunardi addressed this immediately), he only has ONE mid-major school getting an at-large bid right now. The weakling known as Xavier is the only small guy getting the early-season love.
Some other quick observations:
• Jacksonville as a 14-seed is UNFORGIVABLE!!!!
• WVU as a 3. I don’t know why I can’t buy this team yet. Oh, that’s right, because I haven’t seen them play and they weren’t that good last year.
• I think Maryland and Dayton as 7s could be too low.
• Count the Pac-10 teams … Cal (4), Washington (3), UCLA (6), ASU (13) (??)
• Too high: UConn (4), Georgetown (5), Minnesota (6), UNC (2)
So, here’s East and South regions:
