Glen Miller got the Quakers to The Tournament in his first season but owned a worse record each following season.
Not much the way of games last night. It’s finals week, so all’s quiet, really. Twenty-second-ranked Georgia Tech did play, however, and it shot the lights out against Chattanooga, winning 95-64.
• With one year remaining on his contract, Penn’s Glen Miller has been fired. Too soon? Maybe not; the Quakers still haven’t won a game this season. I’m not huge on mid-season firings, but I understand letting a coach go if the team has been in a swan dive and hasn’t won in the first five weeks of the season. {Philadelphia Daily News}
• Army is a nice little story right now, so give them a read. By the way, John Feinstein put them in his Top 25 ballot Sunday night. That’s inexcusable. {The Dagger}
• Kansas State is trying to find its identity. Sorry, but I’m pretty sure begins and ends with Denis Clemente. {Los Angeles Times}
• Seth Davis will get an abnormal amount of links in this neighborhood because he’s been such a damn swell guy with everything CHJ related. Some ink on Xavier Henry here. {Hoop Thoughts}
• Going to go on the record here: I don’t think Seton Hall weathers its storm of a schedule coming up. Pirates will find themselves one or two good wins short of a bid. {Andy Katz Blog}
• Jealousy: Storming the Floor hit the road for the Butler-OSU game Saturday. Gotta get out there one day. {Storming the Floor}
