When Bobby Knights speaks his mind at ESPN (which has been rather tame), he’s paid attention to and not disciplined by anyone. Ever. When someone who is not Knight speaks out
To be fair, Knight hasn’t said anything as stupid as what Jemele Hill (shocking!) said last week.
On the [ESPN's "First Take"] Jemele Hill said (and I am paraphrasing) that UK fans would be fine with “Charles Manson as coach”, so long as he won.
Hill’s history with unfortunate, terrible analogies is rather dubious.
As the post at Kentucky Sports Radio correctly identifies, ESPN and Kentucky, for a number of reasons, have had a deteriorating relationship in the past few years. (A behind-the-scenes feature piece request with Calipari in the preseason was flatly refused.)
Hill’s words only emphasize a bad situation. (Personally, I think Pat Forde’s one-man march against the school he lives to hate is a big part of that.)
ESPN, please consider (I’m guessing that’s already happened) taking Hill off your platforms. She only brings attention to herself and her affiliation with your company when she screws up.
