So says this site, an Ohio State blog powered by the Columbus Post-Dispatch.
Turner, who had a terrible-looking fall against Eastern Michigan at the beginning of December, was expected to miss approximately two months.
But just more than four weeks into the rehabilitation process, it’s a good possibility Turner will have a chance at getting his sea legs back against the Hoosiers on Wednesday.
Evan Turner will be available to play against Indiana on Wednesday night if he makes it through practice tonight without complications, a source close to the program informed The Dispatch this morning.
My guess: He certainly won’t start, and it’s probably less than a 50-50 proposition this comes to fruition. Is it worth it to break him back in against Indiana? Probably not; though Ohio State is in a bit of a panic mode following two straight losses, if it’s worth any salt it’ll take care of IU without the help of Turner.
Regardless, a report like this coming almost a month before he was expected to return? I’d be shocked if Turner isn’t logging significant minutes again by Jan. 15.
