I think the internal dialogue may have gone something like this: Excuse me, I’m Marqus Blakely, and you’re just going to have to get the hell out of the way or accept living in a world where you came face to face with my nether regions. Too late. You’re done.
The video is a full-game recap of UVM’s 64-51 win over Maine Wednesday night, so to get to the goods, fast-forward to the one-minute mark. Absolutely lethal throwdown, one that may remind (only slightly) you of Vince Carter.
Bonus points for the blocking call. And I love how EVERY time a dunk like this happens, whether college or pro, the officials never show the slightest bit of sympathetic body language toward the defender committing the block. Honestly, there’s nothing more embarrassing than being utterly humiliated by getting dunked on and looking foolish in the process because you couldn’t set the puppies out of fear or being tardy.
Gustavus, Blakely! Give us some more, please!
