Morningstar, the sharp-shooter for Kansas, went to the line last night for a shot after a Damion James foul, which came before Cole Aldrich and Damion James got into a tiff, resulting in a technical foul on Aldrich. James fouled Morningstar right before the TV timeout.
But none of that matters. What does matter is we now have another proven way on how to not shoot a free throw. Morningstar actually pump-fakes himself on the freebie below, which is rather remarkable, though Bill Self’s terrified reaction is even better than the foul-shot faux pas.
It is somewhat sad that this was the most noteworthy play from an otherwise fairly unwatchable game. And Morningstar better hit a game-winning shot before the year’s over, lest he have this be his legacy. Well, this or drunk driving.
