I present you a buzzer-beating vide
o that likely won’t be topped the rest of this month.
It comes from Albertus Magnus, another old school named after another old man.
Is there a worse feeling in hoops than thinking you’ve hit the game-winner only to be undone by an even more dramatic bucket?
You think William Paterson is winning this game? Unh-uh. Albertus Magnus has a little Gustavus! left in the tank. Byron Reaves, take it away.
Major props to Frank Rossi and Bill Sherman, the guys on the call. Long-distance shots fall with great frequency every year on every level. But they come with added emphasis in this month. We’ve got our first goosebump-giving moment, folks. The planets are aligning and all is right with the world.
Congrats to the Falcons, and enjoy the next 24 hours. You’ll most certainly be part of the news cycle.
The funny part: Magnus’ season is already over. This happened Friday night, in the first round of the D-III tournament, and the Falcons were eliminated the next day by a thumping, 82-49, at the hands of DeSales.
