Now the Netherlands Media Has Gotten Under Knight’s Skin

Now the Netherlands Media Has Gotten Under Knight’s Skin

You Been Blinded swiped a nice video, a news report (that goes well over three minutes; how different television coverage is there compared to here) on Bobby Knight's tutelage of the tall Dutch players and how they've become better people because of him. But it's not all sunshine with Mr. Knight, as you could imagine. Skip on ahead to the 2:30 mark if you want to get to the good stuff. ... Read More

The Bob Knight-Billy Packer Web site (run by Fantasy Sports Ventures, which this site is affilated with) has been up for a little less than a week, but the content is a aplenty. You can read the two's take on the selection process here and Packer takes on one of his favorite subjects, major vs. mid-major, here. It's interesting that Knight can do this, while ESPN generally, rarely, lets its ... Read More

Will Bob Knight Address the Georgia Rumors Tonight?

Will Bob Knight Address the Georgia Rumors Tonight?

UPDATE: Knight went on ESPN Radio today and basically stated a non-denial denial. He was very much open to the idea of coaching again, given the situation is right. I'd say that puts Georgia in a pretty good position right now. He's broadcasting the women's Tennessee-Oklahoma game, in which Pat Summitt is attempting to win her 1,000th game. Of course, and I mean this with sincerity, Knight will not want to ... Read More

More Knight News: Bob Knight Might Be Interested in Georgia

This is according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Furman Bisher. Here's the quote you'd like to see: “He doesn’t want it to look as if he’s looking for work, but I can assure you that he’d like to have the job. It’s the idea of coaching a team in the Southeastern Conference that appeals to him. There are just so many things he could do for Georgia basketball. This would be his last ... Read More

Yes, Daddy Would Be Proud

Yes, Daddy Would Be Proud

When your father happens to be in the same line of work as you, is one of the most well known people in that line of work and is known for his perpensity to allow his dark side take over from time to time ... and then you go ahead and mimic some of his tendencies? Mockery may in fact ensue. But I can't remember Pa ever being this quick on ... Read More

Bob Knight Will Now Gladly Throw Chairs For Money

Bob Knight Will Now Gladly Throw Chairs For Money

Some could say Bob Knight's just funnier and more laid back in his old age. I don't. No, I think he's pretty much up for whatever money and airtime he can get, so why not completely sell out and remind everyone of what you're really known for, Bob? Seriously ... you just threw ... a chair. And not just any chair, but the type of chair that you find in ... Read More

Brackets? What Brackets? Let’s Talk Bobby Knight at Indiana!

Knight's face is priceless. Does he just not care about what Vitale is saying? Is Vitale outing a plan that Knight has? Who knows. What a blowhard. It's weird and hard to make Bobby Knight seem like a victim, but Vitale just did it. ... Read More

Bloggy Knight

Bloggy Knight

Yes, the media-hating hypocrite that is Bobby Knight will be at The Juggernaut for a few weeks, providing some quotables about how to bow out early win in The Tournament. And yes: Bloggers everywhere are rejoicing. I don't see how he's going to really get that much of a sentence in during studio coverage with Vitale and Digger (who tend to tug at each other as is), but maybe Knight would ... Read More

Goins’ groin shot on Cousins

Goins’ groin shot on Cousins

Published On Saturday, March 13th 2010

I get the feeling SEC coaches have purposefully gone after Cousins to try and get him to snap. That's not to say I think Bruce Pearl directly told Goins, "Hey, if you get a chance, throw a fist into DeMarcus' crotch," but I don't think coaches have shied away from telling their team that he's a hot head who will crack if you give him reason to.

Another weak, only-verbal punishment, this time handed out by the WAC

Published On Wednesday, March 10th 2010

You know, I'm not saying we have to fine coaches every time or make them sit out a game, but now we're starting to see a bit of an unwanted pattern with coaches being "punished" by way of a short-but-sweet press release put out via said coach's conference Web site.
