Add Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook to the List

Add Kevin Love, Russell Westbrook to the List

You knew it was happening with Love. I thought Westbrook would be a little more intelligent about it all. The news they want everyone to know up front: They're not signing with agents! Here's my little retrospective on Love: In my humble opinion, this beast of a kid had a chance to be a Top 10 all-time college player (in a dream world where he stayed all four years). I specifically chose ... Read More

CD-R’s Rather Ill Facial

CD-R’s Rather Ill Facial

A pinpoint pass by Antonio Anderson leads to one of the best plays of The Tournament. Dorsey, as usual, is a jackass, but I think we all wanted to laugh a little at Kevin Love in that moment. ... Read More

AP’s All-Americans

AP’s All-Americans

This was released earlier today, but here ya go. No seniors, which is the first time in the history of the selections (they started in '74) that no senior is represented on the team. I make Beasley the biggest because he is the POTY. Here are the big numbers: Beast: 26.5 points, 12.4 rebounds, 38.9 percent from 3. First K-State player since Bob Boozer in '59 to be named to the first ... Read More

‘This! Is! UCK-LAH!’

‘This! Is! UCK-LAH!’

It's times like these when I wish I had Photoshop so I could put Kevin Love's face on King Leonidas' body. I'll explain... I stumbled upon an article on Rivals yesterday that addressed the growing sentiment among many college hoops followers: UCLA is becoming pretty hated. Hm. Glad to see I'm not alone on this. Anyway, Kevin Love decided to add his take on the Bruins' march through March and what he ... Read More

Hey, Wouldn’t You Know, We Have Our First Meeting Between Ranked Teams Tonight

Hey, Wouldn’t You Know, We Have Our First Meeting Between Ranked Teams Tonight

Sorry for the long headline, but I really wanted to get the message across. Take a second to glance at the athletic prowess of UCLA's Kevin Love, as it is depicted so well in the picture above. Yes, Michigan State will battle a Darren Collison-less UCLA team tonight at 10 p.m. ET on "the deuce" as they used to call it. It seems that Michigan State might be a little ... Read More

Goins’ groin shot on Cousins

Goins’ groin shot on Cousins

Published On Saturday, March 13th 2010

I get the feeling SEC coaches have purposefully gone after Cousins to try and get him to snap. That's not to say I think Bruce Pearl directly told Goins, "Hey, if you get a chance, throw a fist into DeMarcus' crotch," but I don't think coaches have shied away from telling their team that he's a hot head who will crack if you give him reason to.

Another weak, only-verbal punishment, this time handed out by the WAC

Published On Wednesday, March 10th 2010

You know, I'm not saying we have to fine coaches every time or make them sit out a game, but now we're starting to see a bit of an unwanted pattern with coaches being "punished" by way of a short-but-sweet press release put out via said coach's conference Web site.
