Vols players cop to knowing guns were in car when they took it

Vols players cop to knowing guns were in car when they took it

What is Bruce Pearl waiting for? It appears he is hoping something comes up that gives him an excuse to keep these players around. Whatever that is, only Pearl could tell you.

Resetting the First Two Days: The Videos

Resetting the First Two Days: The Videos

Relive Siena-Ohio State, if you'd like. Though the game was played through mud for most of it, the drama was plentiful. We may not get a more frenzied 20 minutes the rest of this Tournament. Wisconsin steals it last night in Boise. Jeremy Pargo proving, once again, he likes to smell the iron. Tennessee-Oklahoma was pretty entertaining for 40 minutes. And Eric Maynor couldn't be the hero this time, as the trendiest upset pick, ... Read More

Digger Phelps’ Outside-the-Box Coaching Strategy

Digger Phelps’ Outside-the-Box Coaching Strategy

I was on my way home from work when my brother called me and told me I had to see what Digger Phelps said about the Tennessee-South Carolina game. I kind of shrugged it off, thinking he might be just overreacting to something small and un-blogworthy. Just watch Hubert Davis and John Saunders. Friggin’ classic. This is why live television on ESPN during championship week is so ... Read More

Welp, That Didn’t Last Long Now, Did It?

No, Bruce, Erin Andrews isn't hiding over there. Hey, remember when Florida received their first No. 1 ranking in the history of the program about five years ago, only to play on Super Tuesday on ESPN the following night and get romped by Kentucky? This wasn't exactly like that, but it was close. Vanderbilt dispatched of the Vols 72-69 last night on that ridiculous Opera House floor that could almost hold two ... Read More

Goins’ groin shot on Cousins

Goins’ groin shot on Cousins

Published On Saturday, March 13th 2010

I get the feeling SEC coaches have purposefully gone after Cousins to try and get him to snap. That's not to say I think Bruce Pearl directly told Goins, "Hey, if you get a chance, throw a fist into DeMarcus' crotch," but I don't think coaches have shied away from telling their team that he's a hot head who will crack if you give him reason to.

Another weak, only-verbal punishment, this time handed out by the WAC

You know, I'm not saying we have to fine coaches every time or make them sit out a game, but now we're starting to see a bit of an unwanted pattern with coaches being "punished" by way of a short-but-sweet press release put out via said coach's conference Web site.
